Meet, Survivor, Tom DeLoe of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with his wife, Carolyn. - A little over two years ago I suffered a massive heart attack. I was 58 years old, had never been seriously ill, and enjoyed activities like running and tennis. It just shows that heart disease can happen to anyone at any time. I was lucky because many fine people helped me survive. My wife, a nurse practitioner, administered CPR immediately. When the medics and ambulance arrived, they had just become equipped with an ICD defibrillator which they used to jump start my heart. The doctors and nurses at the Gettysburg Hospital emergency room stabilized me until I could be airlifted to York Hospital. These people saved my life. Please join these heroes in my life by taking steps to win the battle against heart disease and stroke.
