Join me in my efforts to increase awareness of pediatric stroke!

I am fighting heart disease and stroke by participating in the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk.

The Start! Heart Walk is important to me because it helps bring awareness to the serious diagnosis of pediatric stroke.

Each year, 1 in 4,000 babies suffer strokes--many even before they are born--and Sean was one of those babies in 2006.

Since so many doctors and people are unaware of pediatric stroke it can take months or longer and in our situation it did.

We found out Sean suffered a stroke before he was born but didn't get a diagnosis until he was over 2 years old.

By supporting the American Heart Association, we can help increase pediatric stroke awareness and gain the momentum we need to make legislators and researchers take note of this devastating diagnosis.
