The 2014 Wilmington Heart Walk

September 7, 2014

Participants have the opportunity to make an on-site donation of $10 to receive a torch to carry in memory or honor of someone they love who has been impacted by cardiovascular diseases (red torch) and/or stroke (white torch). Please note that torches are only available the day of the Heart Walk.

The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases, the Nation's No.1 and No.4 killers, claim more than 813,804 American lives a year. Thanks to all our walkers, donors and volunteers who have accepted the challenge to help fight heart disease and stroke. We cannot achieve our mission without each one of you!

Please join us on Sunday, September 7th at the Riverfront Wilmington. Activities for the entire family start at 8:00 am followed by the Walk at 9:00 am. The Walk is approximately three miles. There is an optional survivors route of one mile. We look forward to seeing you there!
