Look for Go Red for Women representatives in the crowd on Sunday who will be signing walkers up to support the Heart For Women Act. By filling out a special paper doll, you will join thousands of people across the country in sending a lifesaving message to Congress to make women’s heart health a national priority and eliminate the health disparities that women often face. All of the paper dolls will be gathered and presented to members of Congress as a powerful show of support. Be sure to check the box to join the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement and receive health reminders and updates from the American Heart Association to better manage your heart health.
In an effort to celebrate the success of our partners and volunteers, I would like to invite you to nominate someone whom you think has made a significant lifestyle change. It can be that this person lost weight, has started exercising every day, quit smoking, eating healthier the list is endless. This is a great way to congratulate him/her on their achievements. At this years heart walk we will be recognizing 2 or 3 lifestyle change award recipients however all nominees will receive recognition from the Heart Association.
