Meet, Cecilie D. Jones, MBA, MSIMC (pictured above left)
Cecilie vowed that she wanted to get healthier and wanted to participate with the American Heart Association’s Start! Challenge. Motivated by a previous 33 lbs. weight loss on Weight Watchers, and then a 20 lbs. gain, she was somewhat frustrated. She is positively encouraged, however, because she’s getting married and will be starting a new life with her husband, and she believes that good health is something one not only owes to herself, but to her family. She also recognizes that when she does well, it has an effect on those closest to her, indicating that the Challenge is an excuse to become a cheerleader for weight-loss and healthy living without it being annoying to them. Cecilie would simply like to return to a respectable weight and maintain it. She already knows she can lose, with care and without any shortcuts, but this time, she will focus more on the maintenance.

• Send e-mails to your contacts asking them to make a secure online donation toward your campaign. Donors can expand their gift if they work for a matching gift company.
• Attend the Start! Heart Walk and celebrate your achievement.
